Residents in South Nation River Watershed asked to reduce non-essential water use

Residents in the South Nation River Watershed are being asked to reduce their non-essential water use by 20 per cent.

It comes as the low-water advisory for the area has been raised to level 2 by South Nation Conservation.

If you rely on a well, agriculture, or other private water sources, you’re asked to reduce non-essential water use where practical.

The advisory will remain in effect until further notice.

South Nation Conservation officials say they will continue to monitor rainfall, stream flows, and water levels across the region.

Updates will be shared as conditions change.
