Sunny days expected through most of June

If you enjoy warm weather, then the month of June may just be for you.

Environment Canada is forecasting warmer and dryer than normal weather for the month ahead with more of the same projected through the rest of the summer.

Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says that will start later this week with daytime highs expected to reach around 28 degrees on Thursday and Friday, warmer than the average for this time of the year which tops out at 22 degrees.

Coulson tells the Vista Radio Newsroom that it won’t just be our area that can look forward to the sun.

“The trends that we’re seeing for the month of June extend pretty much right through eastern Ontario, up the Ottawa valley, and up north towards the Lake Nipissing area.”

Environment Canada will officially release its summer forecast later this week.
