Multi-use path to link Concession to Clothier

This year’s budget includes over a dozen road projects. Gravel rebuilds will be done on Pelton, Latourell and Townline.

Surface treatments will be completed on roads that saw gravel rebuilds last year, including sections of Gabert, Limerick and Crozier. Bedell, Arcand, Visiting and Muldoon will get preventative overlays.

Director of Public Works Karen Dunlop says pavement overlays will be done on Hurd, Abbott, Pattersons Corners and Kennedy. She says the Hurd Street project includes a multi-use pathway, that links Concession to Clothier. Dunlop says council also approved sidewalks from Holy Cross Catholic School to Hurd.

There are also two shared projects on the books, both on Boundary Road.

Dunlop says the municipality is partnering with the City of Ottawa to do a slurry seal from Gabert to County Road 19. North Dundas and North Grenville will be working together on a complete rebuild from French Settlement to Loughlin Ridge.

Just shy of $3.5 million will be spent on Public Works capital projects this year, including roads, engineering, fleet management and waste management.
