Here’s what’s happening in Kemptville:
The North Grenville Public Library is reviewing its open hours to make sure they are available when the community needs it.
Library staff say a survey they are offering should take less than 10 minutes to complete and all questions are optional.
Any responses received will be summarized and shared with the library board to assist in deciding the library’s open hours for 2025.

The Kemptville Youth Centre is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this summer.
It’s scheduled to be celebrated from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 6.

Next week is Mental Health Week.
The Leeds, Grenville, and Lanark District Health Unit says this year’s theme is “A Call to be Kind.”
They are promoting the healing powers of compassion and how it can affect your mental health and your physical health.

Earlier this week, Leeds and Grenville OPP officers teamed up to deliver training to the newest Project Lifesaver partners in eastern Ontario.
Project Lifesaver uses state-of-the-art technology to provide assistance in locating those who wander.
The Brockville General Hospital and Thousand Islands National Park were also part of the training.
