Upper Canada Village opens up for 2024 season

Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg is taking visitors back in time for another season.
The living history museum opened its doors for the 2024 season over the weekend and is inviting guests to come check out what rural life was like in the 1860s with activities including blacksmithing, traditional food preparation, and cooking.
The miniature train ride is back in service and a new exhibit, on the Black history of what was then Upper Canada in the 1860s, officially opens on May 25.
Dana Running is the Manager of Retail Operations at the village and she says it’s still relevant for visitors.
“They can have hands-on experiences, they can hear the sounds, smell the smells and it really brings that history to life.”
The village is open seven days a week until September 15.
