Free income tax program available locally

The Volunteer Centre of St. Lawrence-Rideau can help you out with taxes. The free program is offered in Kemptville.

Volunteer Coordinator Marion Dally says individuals who make $35,000 or less and couples with a combined income of $45,000 and under qualify.  

The program helped around 2,700 people throughout Leeds and Grenville last year.

Dally says the fact that the program is growing shows there’s a need. She says it helps people bordering on the poverty line. Dally says the program wouldn’t be possible without the volunteers.
