North Grenville residents only have a few days left to get their annual dog license renewal before a price hike.
Staff members are reminding residents that after March 31st, the price for dog licenses rises from $15 to $30.
The licenses are required for all dogs more than six months old, except for guide dogs and police dogs.
The license expires every year on December 31st.
Getting caught with an unlicensed dog carries a fine of more than $100.
The license also helps police and municipal workers find your dog if they go missing, and if they get off their leash and get taken to a pound, you won’t be able to get them back without a license.
You can find details for how to purchase or renew a license on the Municipality of North Grenville’s website.
