North Grenville Transit is preparing to expand its services next month.
On Sept. 15, the service will begin offering a new fixed route bus service between North Grenville and the Limebank LRT Station in Ottawa.
It will be in addition to the transit service that is already in place.
After its morning commuter run, the new bus will switch to on-demand service between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., adding more flexibility and coverage during the day.
Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark was in Kemptville in June to announce that the municipality will receive $719,000 from the Ontario Transit Investment Fund to support the new service.
A second vehicle has been purchased by NG Transit for the route.
