Kemptville has been one of the hottest places to be in Ontario since a major heat event began Saturday.
That’s according to Environment Canada, which says the thermometer hit 34.6 degrees Celsius on Sunday in Kemptville, the third hottest temperature recorded in the province during this heat wave.
Ottawa topped the list at 35.1C.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Steven Flisfeder says the heat event is similar to others this summer temperature-wise.
However, he adds most other heat waves have only lasted two or three days.
Environment Canada expects conditions to be above seasonal through the remainder of August.
You are advised to take precautions like drinking water, reducing strenuous activity and checking in with friends and loved one.
