The OPP in Grenville County are reminding residents to keep their cars locked.
Since the beginning of September, officers saw approximately 17 vehicles broken into in the area of County Road 26 and County Road 15 in the Township of Augusta.
Inspector Annie Graves is asking the community to be more vigilant and take away any opportunity for individuals to commit these types of crimes.
“We are urging you to not make things easy for them by removing your valuable possessions, parking in well-lit areas and locking your doors,” she said.
Increased patrols will continue in the area and residents are asked to report any suspicious vehicles or persons.
