Local youth are dressing up for a cause.
The Kemptville Youth Centre (KYC) is getting ready for its annual Fashion Show. The event is set for March 25, from 7:00 to 9:00pm, at the KYC.
Program Coordinator Micaela Comerford says the theme this year is Japanese Enchanted Forest. She noted the goal is promote the KYC’s prom program, which offers a wide selection of formal wear at no cost. Comerford explained there are lots of dresses and accessories to choose from.
The program is open to anyone in the community, to alleviate the financial burden of attending special events. Donations are always welcome.
Tickets for the Fashion Show are $5 each or $10 per family, with proceeds going to KYC programming. People can call ahead to reserve a ticket or buy them at the door. The event also includes a 50/50 draw.
Comerford says it’s a great opportunity for people to come check out the KYC and see what’s available through the prom program.
