The Rash Bash Comedy Date Night is coming up. The event, organized by the North Grenville Community Foundation (NGCF), is set for Friday night at the W.B. George Centre. Tickets are $35 each and selling fast, with proceeds benefiting local charities.
Organizer Daren Givoque says the main headliner is stand-up comedian Derek Seguin. He noted crooner Johnny Vegas will be performing, along with comedian Rachelle Elie.Â
A dance party will follow the show. People are encouraged to dress in costume for a chance to win prizes. The goal is to raise over $20,000 this year.Â
Givoque explained the NGCF is handing out two grants at the event. He says Operation Backpack, run by the House of Lazarus, will get $2,500. Givoque noted the program provides food to students every weekend. The Kemptville District Hospital Foundation will also receive $2,500.        Â
