Community Living hosting pancake breakfast, flag raising ceremony

May marks Community Living month across Ontario. Community Living North Grenville (CLNG) is hosting its 17th annual pancake breakfast and flag raising ceremony on Thursday. The breakfast runs from 8:00 to 10:00am at the North Grenville Municipal Centre. The cost is $5 per person. The flag raising is set for 10:00am.  

Executive Director Sandra McNamara says Community Living month is about raising awareness for citizenship and inclusion for people with disabilities. She says it’s important to continue this work as a community for all people to belong.

McNamara says iconic structures across the province will be lit up for the Shine a Light on Community Living on May 6. She says the CLNG office on County Road 43 will be lit up in blue and green throughout the month.
