Police charge two in separate speeding incidents

The OPP is reminding drivers to slow down after two people were caught driving at excessive speeds over the weekend.

Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry OPP says officers were looking for speedsters on Highway 401 in South Dundas on both Saturday and Sunday. The OPP says a 34-year-old Montreal man was clocked driving 157 kilometers per hour on Saturday morning. A 29-year-old woman from Mirabel was also clocked driving 152 kilometers per hour on Sunday morning.

Both drivers were charged with stunt driving in the separate incidents.

The OPP says drivers caught at these excessive speeds can have their vehicle impounded and driver’s permit seized for seven days.
