OPP asking for the public’s help after fatal crash

Police are looking for the public’s help after a fatal car crash.

Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP say they responded to the scene of a single vehicle, fatal collision on County Road 16 in South Dundas Township. The Iroquois Fire Department were also dispatched to the wreck. Shortly after midnight on July 27th a Mazda 6 travelling southbound on County Road 16 when it left the road at Jackson Road, collided with a tree and burst into flames.

The driver, and lone occupant, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Their identify is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin. Police closed the road for several hours and Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP and OPP Technical Collision Investigators are continuing the investigation.
