Grade 10 Literacy Test Cancelled Due to Technical Difficulties

After what are now being called widespread technical issues, yesterday’s Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test was cancelled when Grade 10 students throughout the province weren’t able to log in.

It was the first time the test was offered online and it was supposed to be operational at 10am however by 11:30 a statement posted to EQAO’s website said “We regret to inform you that we have cancelled today’s assessment.
Many schools reported that they had given up on the testing earlier than the official cut off, in an attempt to get back to regular classes.

Richard Jones, Director Of Assessment for the EQAO told the CBC yesterday that the EQAO and the vendor contracted to run the online system are working to determine exactly what happened.
