First ever Winter Art Celebration in North Grenville!

It’s Happening!!!!! Froid’Art–Art in Ice is coming to Kemptville. Come on out for the Grand Opening Ceremony of Froid’Art–Art in Ice, an outdoor art exhibition that truly embraces the wonders of winter. The opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, January 27, at 4:00 pm in Rotary Park. Join us as we celebrate the inaugural installation of an exquisite display of paintings embedded in 300 lb blocks of ice, showcasing some of the talent and creativity of North Grenville Arts Guild (NGAG) artists. The event promises to be a unique and enchanting experience that captures the magic of the season.
NGAG’s Froid’Art–Art in Ice has been made possible through the Municipality of North Grenville’s Arts & Culture Development Fund and the generous sponsorship of the following local businesses: B&H Groceries, Salamanders Restaurant, Desjardin Insurance–Vrolyk Insurance and Financial Services Limited, Grahame’s Bakery, Jonsson’s Your Independent Grocer, and the Municipality of North Grenville.
In keeping with NGAG’s ongoing commitment to community involvement, North Grenville’s version of Froid’Art will feature the juried work of seven NGAG artists: Aleta Karstad, Tammy Keith,, Ardis Lerner, Caroline Marshall, Julie Mercier, J. Nicol and Tabitha Valliant.
David Dosset of Martello Alley in Kingston is the creative genius behind the Froid’Art concept and has been mounting it for a decade. His original idea of Froid’Art as an outdoor illuminated ice art exhibit throughout the downtown area of Kingston has become a long running tradition. Under David’s tutelage, NGAG has been working for over a year to bring this magical event to North Grenville and they are delighted to share it with everyone. Come down to Rotary Park and enjoy their efforts. Exhibition ends when the ice melts!
