Celebrate Canada Day with song! Join host Tom Bryant on Saturday July 1st for a special sing-along at the Kemptville Street Piano and strum along to a set of tunes chosen by Tom for their ease of play and their iconic Canadian status. Tom will be backed by the Kemptville Folk Club, a group with over 30 members formed to foster the growth and development of musical talent in North Grenville, who gather regularly to collaborate and share their passion for music. From beginners to pros, all levels of players, singers, and listeners welcome! Come and join the folks in song and don’t forget your chair, instrument, and your love for Canadian music (and for the piano players, instrument provided)!

Kemptville Street Piano concerts are all-ages, wheelchair friendly, free to the public, and take place at the library with free parking rain or shine. Dogs on leashes welcome!

What is a Street Piano? It’s a piano placed in a public area that encourages passersby to stop and play.
 
Why a Street Piano? Who is it for? Street Pianos draw pedestrians, turning any location into a concert venue / cultural hub. By giving residents an instrument to play together, this project encourages locals to share their knowledge, initiate their own ‘play’, and create relationships, setting a precedent for positive experiences in Kemptville’s public spaces and inviting foot traffic to downtown businesses. When and where are the concerts taking place? This year the concert series takes place on Saturday afternoons at 2pm from June to the end of August at the North Grenville Public Library.
