The annual Sunshine List for Public Sector Employees is circulating and with it, the usual discussion over whether the $100,000 salary threshold should be adjusted. Some of the listmakers themselves say the minimum salary should be lifted to $140,000 as it was first launched in 1996 by Mike Harris and is now out of date. Others say they want to know the salary of every civil servant making more than the average Canadian income of $48,000, as they are being paid from the public purse.
