A new nurse practitioner led clinic in North Grenville will connect 6,400 area residents to primary care.
Officials gathered at Kemptville District Hospital for the announcement on Tuesday afternoon which includes a $2.6 million investment from the province.
The clinic will be located on the KDH campus and will serve as the anchor of a broader primary care hub.
North Grenville Mayor Nancy Peckford says the model brings together nurse practitioners, local physicians, and a full range of allied health supports, including mental health, social work, dietitian services, and care navigation, to deliver more connected, comprehensive care close to home.
She adds it will expand access to care, strengthen supports for providers, and improve coordination across the local health system which will help more residents get connected to care.
