Kemptville Legion donates $2,500 towards KDH Foundation CT scanner initiative

Money raised selling poppies is going towards bringing a CT scanner to Kemptville

The Kemptville District Hospital (KDH) Foundation is thanking the local Royal Canadian Legion branch for donating proceeds from this year’s poppy drive to its ongoing fundraising campaign.

The Legion donated $2,500, raised over the course of November, to the initiative.

The KDH Foundation has been collecting money for the new equipment for several months, saying a CT scanner will allow doctors to treat patients for internal injuries and bleeding more effectively.

Foundation staff say the donation is a “wonderful gift” that brings them one step closer to raising the $2.2-million needed for the equipment.
