Mayor Nancy Peckford is inviting residents to spotlight their gardens as part of a community beautification initiative.
The Municipality of North Grenville has announced that it has joined “Communities in Bloom Ontario.”
The program is run by a non-profit organization, using a friendly competition to get residents involved in maintaining green spaces and beautifying their communities.
“We know so many residents who take pride in their gardens,” Peckford says. “This program is a wonderful opportunity to amplify our community pride and highlight the beautiful places we live, work, play and visit by showcasing our community’s gardens and green spaces.”
As part of the competition, the municipality is asking for residents to submit photos of their gardens and will be giving some judges from Communities in Bloom a tour of the community.
If you want to submit a photo or have your garden featured in the tour, you can find more information on the municipality’s website.
