“In North Grenville,” she continues, “in addition to remembering lives lost and injured, this day is an opportunity to remind employees and employers – across all sectors – to work together to ensure safe workplaces.”

Also called “Worker’s Mourning Day,” the observance was first held in 1991, to honour people who were died or injured on the job and their families. It’s been held every year on April 28th since.
