Now that spring is here, residents are being reminded to follow the rules before starting fires in North Grenville.
The municipality requires residents to buy a burn permit before having any open-air burns in the area.
The permits cost $15 and allow residents to have open-air burns on their property without incurring fines, if they follow regulations put in place by the North Grenville Fire Service.
Only residents living in approved parts of town qualify for a permit. They’re valid until December 31st.
