WDMH thanks donors for funding new “workstations on wheels”

Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WMDH) staff members say two new mobile computer systems will help nurses take care of newborn babies.

The hospital has purchased two “workstations on wheels,” computers that can be moved anywhere in the facility to the people that need them, for its obstetrics department.

The funding for the two pieces of equipment came from donations to the WDMH Foundation, the hospital’s fundraising arm, including the “Charlee’s Run” event in 2022 that raised $23,000 for the hospital.

“We are so grateful to the generous donors who donated funds for this specialized equipment,” says Managing Director Kristen Casselman. “Thank you for helping to make these purchases possible and allowing our staff to have the proper equipment they need to better take care of our littlest patients.”

You can learn more about the WDMH’s obstetrics apartment on the hospital’s website.
