Leeds-Grenville 2023 hazardous waste disposal dates announced

You’ll be able to get rid of any batteries, motor oil or other hazardous waste for free this summer.

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville has released the schedule for this year’s hazardous waste disposal opportunities.

The program is available for anyone living within the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, except for Brockville residents, since that city runs its own hazardous waste collection initiative.

Prescott and Gananoque residents can also take advantage of the program.

The first waste collection day happens on July 8th at the Lombardy Fairgrounds.

After that, residents will be able to take their waste to either the South or North Leeds County Patrol Garage on August 19th, and to the Spencerville Fairgrounds and North Grenville County Patrol Garage on September 16th.

Some items, like ammunition, electronics and tires, won’t be accepted. You can find a full list of items that will and won’t be taken on the United Counties website.
