Leave that bagged lunch at home on Friday. CIBC in Kemptville is hosting a barbecue in support of Neon Night. The event runs from 11:00 to 2:00pm, with all proceeds going to the cause. The goal is to raise $1,000.
Organizer Melissa Button says childhood cancer hits close to home. She says she’s seen kids go through chemotherapy, and CIBC is happy to help. Button noted Neon Night is a great community that brings everyone together.
CIBC is also raffling off a Broil King BBQ, donated by Kemptville RONA, valued at $1,200. Tickets are $5 each, 3 for $10 or 10 for $20. The raffle includes a second and third prize packages and people can drop by the bank to get tickets.
Neon Night is set for September 21 at Riverside Park. The event brought in $100,000 for childhood cancer research last year. People can register for the 2km or 5km fun run/walk by clicking here.Â
