New local business partners with Ryan’s Well

The Ryan’s Well Foundation has a new community partner. Susie M’s Hidden Treasures, a new local business, signed on to support the non-profit.

Owner Susie McIntosh says the partnership could mean a portion of the proceeds from the store going to Ryan’s Well. She says another possibility is holding fundraising events, such as barbecues, to bring in funds.

McIntosh says Ryan Hreljac’s story is inspiring. She says he started out raising money for a well in Africa at the age of 6 and it’s amazing what he’s done since.

The grand opening of Susie M’s is set for Saturday at 10:00am. Mayor Nancy Peckford will be cutting the ribbon. McIntosh says everyone who drops by that day will be entered into a draw for a gift basket.

Hreljac, Ryan’s Well founder and Executive Director, says the organization has been in Kemptville for 17 years and local support means the world.

Susie M’s, located at 200 Sanders Street, offers a wide variety of antique furniture and collector items.
