Gift exchange brings in toys for local kids in need

The teachers at North Grenville District High School are paying it forward. They held a gift exchange last week and donated all the items to local kids in need.

Teacher Cathy Parent says it’s something they’ve done for years. She says you pull a name and rather than buy the person something, you pick a toy you think they would’ve liked as a kid.

Two truckloads of toys were dropped off to the Salvation Army. The items were put into Christmas hampers for local families.

Parent says it’s something all the teachers enjoy. She says it puts a different spin on having a gift exchange.

Non-perishable food items were also collected.
