Royal LePage aims to build Mountain of Toys for local kids

Toys are being collected for the Salvation Army and North Grenville Community Service Council (NGCSC). Royal LePage is running a toy drive in support of the two organizations. It launched at the Santa Claus Parade on Saturday and wraps up on December 10.

Organizer Judy Littau says the NGCSC is a collection of local charities, including the Lions, Kinsmen and Knights of Columbus.

Royal LePage representatives will be at the Kemptville 73’s home game Friday night collecting toys. Admission with a new, unwrapped toy is $2 for kids and $5 for adults.

They will also be collecting toys at the Christmas OPP Charity BBQ on December 6. The event runs from 11:30am to 1:00pm. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus plan on making a special appearance.

Littau says all toys collected will stay in the community and go to local kids in need.

Popular toys right now include Pokemon, L.O.L. dolls, Lego, action figures, Paw Patrol and gift cards for teens.

Toys can be dropped off at Royal LePage anytime during business hours.
