The Oxford Mills Community Association (OMCA) invites the public to a special event. A tree lighting ceremony and free pancake breakfast with Santa are set for this weekend.
The OMCA is holding the tree lighting on Friday night. The ceremony is taking place at the former Oxford-on-Rideau Town Hall starting at 6:30pm.
Christmas carols will be led by the Oxford Mills Sisterhood of Guiding. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served after the tree lighting. Santa Claus will make a guest appearance.
The pancake breakfast with Santa is happening Saturday. It runs from 9:00 to 11:00am at the United Church. The breakfast is free, thanks to sponsorship from Gerry Van Gurp with Keller Williams Solid Rock Realty and Erick Le Pors of Dial-a-Chef.
