Old Town Kemptville BIA hoping to help spur more business growth in downtown core with new program

Old Town Kemptville BIA is hoping to help foster new business growth in the downtown core with its Pop-Up Shop program.

Executive Director John Barclay says it’s all about minimizing the risks and giving business owners a chance at building a long-term business in a vacant space downtown. Barclay says they’re hoping to attract all kinds of potential business owners.

Barclay says the way they reduce the risks are by allowing the business owner to commit to a space with a shorter term, giving them the advice from experts, marketing funds, and savings off the regular costs business owners would face otherwise.

The funding through the program will allow for up to four businesses to participate. Applications are now being accepted. You can learn more about the benefits, or pick up the application form by going to www.oldtownkemptville.com.
