A man is facing multiple charges after the OPP arrested him for assault.
Stormont Dundas and Glengarry OPP says officers were called to a home in North Dundas last week after the 39-year-old Ottawa man reportedly assaulted his girlfriend during an altercation.
The OPP says the woman was also threatened during the incident and property was damaged.
The man now faces four charges including two counts of uttering threats, assault with a weapon and mischief.
The man was held in custody pending a bail appearance in Cornwall court.
