The fundraising deadline for the Maplewood Park gazebo is fast approaching.
The Oxford Mills Community Association says less than $1,500 is needed to meet cost of the project by this Thursday.
The gazebo was installed at Maplewood Park in time for Canada Day celebrations. However, the project’s price tag was set at $10,000 and that goal hasn’t been fully realized.
The Oxford Mills Community Association says half of the cost was covered through in-kind donations and previous fundraising events. The association launched an indiegogo campaign online to cover the remaining $5,000.
The gazebo replaces another one that stood at Maplewood Park for a number of years, but was torn down due to safety reasons.
