The Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run and Torch Ride are both coming to Prescott next month.
The run will take place on Wednesday, June 7th. Members of the Grenville County OPP, Canadian Border Security personnel, area Special Olympics athletes and students from South Grenville District High School will walk or run along King and Edward streets in Prescott. They’ll be looking for donations from drivers and people on the streets.
The 2nd Annual Kingston and the Islands Law Enforcement Torch Ride will also take place with more than 100 motorcycles and riders from the area arriving at Fort Wellington around 11:30am on Saturday, June 10th.
Member of the ride Guy Paquette says anyone is welcome to join the ride or head to the events at the fort.
