South Gower Park will soon have a new accessible play structure.
Municipal staff have chosen the look of the new project which includes accessible structures for children with disabilities.
Director of Parks, Recreation and Culture Mark Guy says they consulted with multiple sources before choosing the design.
Construction is expected to start soon, pending council approval on Monday, with a target finish of around June 30th.
The project came in under budget at around $90,000. Leftover money will be used to remove the old equipment at the site, increase the path size to the parking lot, and add new trees.
