Most homeowners to see a small increase in their tax bills this year

The average homeowner will pay about $63 dollars more on their tax bill this year.

Director of Finance Nicole Zywicki presented the final numbers at the North Grenville Committee of the Whole meeting on Monday.

The average homeowner will see an increase of about 1.8 percent. That’s after taking into consideration rising assessments from MPAC. After the assessments, municipal and county portions come out to 3 percent each, while the education portion dropped by 4 percent.

The final tax bills will be mailed out the first week of June. Due dates are set for June 30th and September 29th.
