The Royal Canadian Legion Kemptville Branch 212 celebrated 85 years yesterday and members are planning on a special dedication ceremony on Saturday, April 29th to celebrate the milestone.
A dedication ceremony for the building and hall will be held at 2:00pm that day. The original celebration for the hall was held in 1957 but that didn’t include a formal dedication. President Sharon Murray says members want to fix that.
The Legion was honoured at a North Grenville Council meeting late last month with a mayoral proclamation to celebrate the occasion.
