A rash of break-ins in the area has the OPP warning people to lock their doors and windows.
The OPP says a home on Wood Street in Prescott was broken into while the owner was sleeping on Wednesday night. A purse and watch were stolen. Two homes on County Road 2 in Augusta township were also broken into overnight last Sunday.
Police say that, in addition to locking your doors and windows, light up your entrances, leave a light on in the home and consider an alarm system.
