The Eighth Annual TD Canada Trust Women’s Hockey Tournament in support of Girls Inc. is hoping to welcome hundreds of visitors to cheer on the players. The event is scheduled for Friday, March 31st to Sunday, April 2nd at the Brockville Memorial Centre with over 200 women playing hockey, a raffle, vendor fair, and a dance Saturday night.
Girls Inc. Office and Events Coordinator Kelly Cole says the funds will be used to help run the programs at the organization that supports over 1,300 girls in Leeds and Grenville.
Cole says the money covers supplies, costs to deliver programming across the area, books that are available to the girls to bring home, and more.
