A local person faces a $200 fine for illegally dumping garbage.
Augusta Fire officials say their by-law officer responded to a report of illegally dumped garbage along Lords Mills Road earlier this month.
They say staff cleaned up the debris and, during the investigation, found documents that identified the individual responsible.
Officials say the person’s address is outside of Augusta Township and they have been issued a $200 fine.
Local by-law officers investigate reports of illegal dumping and say they will take enforcement action whenever those responsible can be identified.
