Hazardous waste day planned for early July at Lombardy fairgrounds

Here’s a chance to get rid of household hazardous waste you have sitting around.

Residents in the region can bring the waste to the Lombardy fairgrounds on Saturday, July 4 between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Examples of what can be dropped off include batteries, light bulbs, propane tanks, antifreeze and gas, oil and oil filters.

Items that won’t be accepted include ammunition and commercial and industrial waste.

Waste from Brockville residents will not be accepted.

Then next hazardous waste day is planned for Saturday, Aug. 15.
