Kemptville’s Beth Donovan Hospice is getting a funding boost to the tune of $200,000.
The money is coming from the Community Foundation of Ottawa’s OutCare Fund and will be used to renovate the facility to accommodate two new hospice beds allocated by the Ministry of Health.
Hospice officials say it will support their long-term vision of expanding access to compassionate, end-of-life care close to home.
As demand for hospice and palliative care continues to grow, they say the investment represents a meaningful step forward for the families they serve across North Grenville and the surrounding communities.
They add they are grateful to the OutCare Fund Advisory Board and the Community Foundation of Ottawa for recognizing the importance of accessible, high-quality palliative care in rural communities.
