KDH receiving more provincial funding in 2026

There’s an increase in the amount of provincial funding Kemptville District Hospital will receive this year compared to 2025.

Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark says KDH will get $934,500, a four per cent increase.

The funding is aimed at supporting improved operations and reducing wait times and is part of Ontario’s 2026 budget.

It will also go to supporting inflationary or other wage pressures.

Clark says in a media release that “from the day our government took office, hospital funding has been a priority – particularly those like Brockville General and Kemptville District that serve patients in small towns and rural communities.” .

He add “I’m a proud advocate for our local hospitals and I welcome this continued investment in services for patients and the frontline healthcare workers that deliver them.”

Over the next 10 years, Ontario is investing approximately $64 billion in major health infrastructure.
