Leadership remains in place for UCDSB Board of Trustees

There’s no change at the top of the Upper Canada District School Board’s Board of Trustees.

Jamie Schoular and Lynda Johnston will continue as chair and vice-chair for the 2025-2026 school year making it the third consecutive year that the duo has led the board.

The chair and vice-chair are voted in each year at the organizational meeting by their trustee peers.

Schoular was first elected to the board in 2018, and this will be his third year serving as chair, he is in his second term as a trustee.

Johnston is in her first term as a trustee, being elected in October 2022, and her third year as vice-chair.

A media release says during the time that Schoular and Johnston have served in the positions, the UCDSB has passed budgets with modest surpluses; EQAO results have increased in reading, writing and math at all grade levels; graduation rates have increased each year; and enrolment has increased as more families choose the UCDSB.
