UCDSB trustees vote to hold fewer meetings during school year

There will be fewer meetings for trustees at the Upper Canada District School Board moving forward.

Earlier this month, trustees greenlit an amendment that will see them get together four times during the school year with the option to add more meetings if needed.

Officials say the change was made in order to align with changes made by the Ministry of Education and as a cost-cutting measure.

Trustees also voted to change the start time of meetings in order to be more accessible.

They will now begin at 6:30 p.m., later than their former start time which was 1 p.m.
