The Eastern Ontario Warden’s Caucus say they are continuing to strengthen ties with federal officials.
The caucus, including United Counties of Leeds and Grenville Warden Corinna Smith-Gatcke, says they met with federal officials and Members of Parliament to discuss priorities for rural communities.
It was a part of Parliament Hill Advocacy Day on Tuesday.
Caucus officials say its leaders participated in 15 meetings with both federal representatives and members of the official opposition.
Key points of discussion included trade- and housing-enabling infrastructure, the new Build Canada Homes program, and the advancement of paramedic services.
