It’s fair season! 170th Spencerville Fair starts Thursday

The Spencerville Fair is set to take off with four days of activities for the entire family.

The 170th edition of the fair begins on Thursday evening highlighted by the opening ceremonies and a drone show and then moves into full swing from Friday to Sunday.

In addition to all of the usual fair fixtures including a full midway, the RCMP Musical Ride will perform on Saturday afternoon with the country music band the Road Hammers performing later that night while Sunday’s lineup includes a demolition derby.

Eric Connell with the Spencerville Fair tells Moose FM that planning for the fair has been in the works for three years with volunteers playing a vital role.

“When you come to the fair you’re going to see it, you’re going to feel it, it’s an active community and it’s truly incredible.

Admission on Thursday night is a monetary donation for the South Grenville Food Bank with admission cost for the rest of the days and a full lineup available on the fair’s website.
