Local students can serve as Mayor for a Day

Local students have a chance to find out what it would be like to be the Mayor of North Grenville.

Applications are now being accepted for the third Annual Mayor for a Day Contest with two students, in grades 7 to 12, getting the chance to step into the roles of Mayor and Deputy Mayor, shadowing Mayor Nancy Nancy Peckford and council for the day.

Participants will tour municipal facilities, attend meetings, engage with staff, and share their vision for North Grenville’s future.

Students must live in North Grenville and applications are due by 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6.

The winners will take on their new roles on Oct. 20.
