Community Pitch-In Week comes to North Grenville April 16th

Mayor Nancy Peckford says North Grenville residents will have a chance to commemorate Earth Day together next week.

The municipality is hosting “Pitch-In Week,” a community clean-up initiative, from April 16th to the 23rd.

“It’s an opportunity for our community to come together, for neighbourhoods to come together, and do their part to clean up public spaces in particular,” explains Peckford.

If you sign up to take part, you’ll receive some special garbage bags from the municipality for free.

“The great news is, Pitch-in Canada provides the bags free of charge, and the municipality will pick them up as part of your regular waste collection without a bag tag,” Peckford says. “So, it’s a win-win.”

You can also drop off the bags at the Oxford Mills Waste Transfer Station for free.

You can register to participate in Pitch-In Week by calling or emailing the Municipality of North Grenville’s Public Works office.
